Web Development

We are crazy about making funky and professional websites. When you hire us to build yours, we immediately start researching your field of business, your competitors, and what speaks to people in your market. From there, we play around with some layout ideas to ensure that the main thing speaks most clearly and everything else supports it. Once the framing is done, we begin crafting the look and feel of the site so that it fits you and your company’s personality. It is very rare that we need more than two or three versions to nail the design.

CMS Website

In the past, it was simple “static” website information download.

The search via whichever search engine would be sent to the web server on which that website is hosted and thus all its related information. So, in simple terms, the search request for a website domain is sent to the related server; the server finds all related files associated with that website including pictures, content, animations and so forth.

The web server then sends all that information back to the user who requested that information. This is “static” and a simple delivery of related files contained in that website.

So that Google or Search Engine request for a static website will receive all related information back from the web server; which can do the same for the same website request to many users all across the world.

So, what exactly is a CMS Website?

A CMS or a ‘Content Management System’ quite literally allows you to control and manage the content within your web site – without technical training. Using this uncomplicated system you can very easily add, delete images and edit text in your web site on the fly. You can also have an unlimited number of pages and a full site-search engine. Popular CMS website development software is Joomla and WordPress.

What is WordPress and why do we prefer it?

WordPress is an online, open source website creation tool written in PHP. But in non-geek speak, it’s probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) in existence today.

Often beginners ask us: Why should I use WordPress? Isn’t my old site good enough? Why do I need to switch to WordPress? If you’re asking these questions, then you’re at the right place.

People often make the mistake of classifying WordPress as just a blogging platform. Although that used to be true in the past, WordPress has evolved through out the years into a versatile content management system (CMS). While you can still use WordPress to create a simple blog, now it also allows you to create fully functional websites and mobile applications.

The best part about WordPress is that it’s easy to use and flexible enough for just about anything. That’s the main reason why WordPress has grown so much in popularity. According to a recent survey, WordPress powers 22.5% of all websites on the internet.

Due to it’s robust features, many of the top brands use WordPress to power their websites including but not limited to: Time Magazine, Google, Facebook, Sony, Disney, LinkedIn, The New York Times, CNN, eBay, and more.
